CORSICA HIKE AND CULTURE

Day 1:
Bastia
30 minutes drive, 30 km.
After meeting at Bastia Airport, we are settled according to the availability of our hotel in the city center, and our tour to the historical city center of Bastia, the most important city of Corsica Island, begins. We will go on a historical journey with many points such as 17th and 18th century Baroque neighborhoods, Sainte Croix Chapels, Sainte-Marie and Jean-Baptiste Churches, old Genoese town, old harbor, Scala Santa Chapel and Sacred Stairs, Genoese Governor Mansion, market square. . Free time for dinner afterwards.
Day 2:
L'Île-Rousse, Pigna, Spano, Calvi
After having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we set off to Calvi city on the west of the island with our vehicle. First of all, we curl up at the foot of the Red Mountain and rise among the villages. Breathtaking views meet us as we climb to the higher parts of the island. Then we arrive at the town of L'le-Rousse and take a break in the square market. After that, we visit Corbara, Pigna and Sant’Antonino mountain villages. After lunch break, we arrive at the Spano Tower cliffs in the Lumio region. Here, we get off our vehicle and take a short seaside walk. Afterwards we watch the view from the hill where the Notre-Dame de la Serra Chapel, which is shown among the most beautiful views of Corsica Island, and we return to Bastia for dinner.

Day 3:
Corte, Restonica Valley, Lac du Melu Hike, Ajaccio
4 hours drive, 200 km. 3 hours of moderate hike, 6 km. 350 mt ascent, 350 mt descent.
Today we set off early in the morning on Corte towards Ajaccio. Incredible views will accompany our journey along the Corsica National Park in the heart of the island. When we arrive at Corte, which has been the capital of the island for a while, we notice the castle built on the rocks and the view of Tavignano Valley. After taking a break here for a while, we are performing our Lac du Melu lake walk, which includes a part of the leading GR20 track among the most challenging hiking trails in Europe. After the walk, we cool off in rivers and natural forest pools. Afterwards, we move to the most populous city of the island, Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, and after settling in our hotel, we give free time for dinner after a short orientation tour.
Day 4:
Golfe de Porto, Calanques de Piana
4 hours drive, 180 km. 3 hours easy hike, 8 km.
Today, we will go to Porto Bay, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, 70 kilometers from Ajaccio, and walk there in the rocky area of Calanques de Piana. At the end of our 8-kilometer bumpy walk, we will be the prize for swimming in virgin aquarium bays, enjoying the magnificent view and visiting the small mountain villages. At the end of the day, we return to Ajaccio to stay again.
Day 5:
Plage de Cupabia, Sartene, Bonifacio
3 hours drive, 140 km. 3 hours easy beach and cliff walk.
After breakfast, we set off towards Bonifacio, the southern tip town of the island, famous for its cliffs and beaches. We stop at the blue, famous Roccapina Beach and the virgin Cupabia Beach on the way and swim. Our next stop is Sartene, a delightful medieval town that has been invaded by Algerian pirates. After lunch break, we settle in our hotel in Bonifacio and go for a walk to the Bonifacio Cliffs. The Pertusato Lighthouse and Plage du petit Sperone are on our way. We complete our walk and return to our hotel and prepare for the last dinner.
Day 6:
Palombaggia Beach, Wineyards, Bastia and Return
3 hours drive, 160 km. 1 hour easy beach walk.
After breakfast, our return journey to Bastia begins. We stop by Palombaggia Beach and cool off here. Afterwards, we move through the vineyards and taste local wine and go to the airport.
