ICELAND ROUNDTRIP NORTHERN LIGHTS TOUR
Iceland is one of the rare countries that offers breathtaking views in every season of the year. On the island, which is the fruit of the mystical combination of fire and ice, enormous glaciers, lava caves, huge waterfalls, powerful volcanoes, vast beaches, geothermal pools will be with us throughout our trip. When the northern lights, one of the most amazing miracles of nature, are added to this feast, Iceland promises an unforgettable holiday for life.
Day 1:
Reykjavik
1 hour drive, 50 km.
After meeting at Keflavik Airport, transfer to the hotel in Reykjavik city center. After settling in the rooms, information about the tour program and dinner. Then move on the route determined by our guide for the hunt for northern lights.
Day 2:
Gulfoss, Geysir, Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Reynisfjara
Today we will follow the most famous route of Iceland, known as "Golden Circle". Our first stop is “Golden Waterfall” Gulfoss. Our next stop is Geysir, the ancestor of geysers. The other point of the route, we leave the Þingvellir National Park on the way back, and we pass from the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Glacier to the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, the Skogafoss Waterfall, which is famous for the cave behind it, and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, which is among the most beautiful beaches in the world. At the end of our tour, we settle in our hotel in Kalfafell and go to the hunt for northern lights after dinner.

Day 3:
Skaftafell, Jokulsarlon, Höfn, Eastfjord
5 hours drive, 400 km.
In the morning, we start the day with Skaftafell National Park formed by glaciers, volcanoes, strong rivers and waterfalls. We will witness an extraterrestrial geography with the walk up to the glacier. The next stop is the Hof Church, last surviving grass covered church in Iceland. After a short break here, we continue to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lake. While witnessing the voyage of the glacier pieces breaking off from the Vatna Glacier to the ocean, we get the chance to see the seals. Our next stop is the model viking village, located on the Vestrahorn Mountain and its foothills. After taking a break here for a while, we move to our hotel near Eastfjord and plan our Northern Lights program.
Day 4:
Mývatn, Grjótagjá, Skútustaðagígar
4 hours drive, 275 km. 2 hours easy hike in the nature.
Our schedule today takes place around the famous Lake Mývatn. After a pleasant journey in the deserted geography of Iceland, we arrive at Hverir. This place is famous for its craters, boiling muds and steam chimneys resembling the surface of Mars. Then, we climb up to Námafjall hill and watch the view from above. Our next stop is Mývatn Hot Springs, one of Iceland's most beautiful spas. Here we enjoy the hot water and continue our route with the Grjótagjá Cave, which attracts attention with Game of Thrones. Our next stop is Skútustaðagígar, where we will march among dozens of large and small volcanoes. At the end of the program, we plan our northern lights program by settling in our hotel on the edge of Lake Mývatn.
Day 5:
Akureyri, Siglufjörður, Laugarbakki
5 hours drive, 350 km. 2 hours easy walk in the nature.
Our first stop today is Goðafoss Waterfall. After a short break here, we proceed to Akureyri, “The Capital of Northern Iceland”. Then we arrive at Grafarkirkja, the oldest church in Iceland, via Dalvik. We pass to Laugarbakki, where we will see the Hvitserkur cliffs rising in the middle of the beach and make our stay. After settling in and dinner, we go hunting for the northern lights.
Day 6:
Stykkishólmur, Snæfellsnes, Djúpalónssandur, Kirkjufell
4 hours drive, 250 km. 2 hours easy walk in the nature.
After breakfast, we set off again. Our first stop is Stykkishólmur, a cute fishing village. We take a short walk to Sugandisey Island at the tip of the town and photograph the lighthouse. From here we proceed along the unique volcanic terrains of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and reach the most photographed Kirkjufell Mountain in the country. Our next stop is Djúpalónssandur Beach, which fascinates with its beauty. After a short walk here, we arrive at the Arnarstapi settlement where we will be staying. This is a small settlement famous for its cliffs. After settling in our hotel, we will have dinner and then hunt for northern lights.
Day 7:
Þingvellir, Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik
5 hours drive, 370 km. 1 hour easy walk in the nature.
We are starting our return journey to Reykjavik today. We drive through Hvalfjörður, which is shown as the most beautiful fjord of Iceland and reach the Þingvellir National Park, which is the fault line between the continents where the continents of America and Europe are separated and is home to the world's first parliament. After an intercontinental walk here, we arrive at the hot spring Blue Lagoon, famous for its azure water. After getting tired of the hot pools on the last day of our program, we move to our hotel in Reykjavik city center. After dinner, we go hunting for the northern lights for the last time.
Day 8:
Return
1 hour drive, 50 km.
Transfer and return to Keflavik Airport early in the morning.
