BERLIN, DRESDEN AND MALERWEG HIKE
Our journey that started in Berlin continues with a canoe journey in Spreewald, which is famous for its biosphere reserve area, canals and charming villages. Dresden, which has been the headquarters of romantic painters and the greatest inspiration of painters, is Swiss Switzerland… First, we examine the paintings of the painters of the Dresden Academy of Art, and then we include ourselves in the paintings during our walk. We end our program with Prague, the capital of Bohemia, which is one of the most visited cities of our day with its culture and entertainment life.
Day 1:
Berlin
45 minutes drive, 5 hours easy city walk.
After meeting with the guide according to the determined points, we start our Berlin city tour. Apart from the classic Berlin routes, we make a local program where you can understand the texture of the city. Of course, the famous spots of the city are: Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Memorial to the Murdered Jews, Hitler's huge buildings, Nikolaiviertel, Berlin Cathedral. Afterwards, we settle in our hotel and meet for dinner, and have a short evening program after having dinner in one of the city's popular neighborhoods, Kreuzberg / Prenzlauer Berg or Neukölln.
Day 2:
Spreewald, Dresden
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and go to Spreewald canals, which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, located 1 hour away. We are doing a canoe tour along the branches of the Spree River spread in the forest. After the villages that have no roads and can only be reached by canoe, we return to our vehicle and move to Dresden. After 1 hour car journey, we settle in our hotel and start our Dresden tour. “The Florence of Elbe” Frauenkirche, Semperoper, Fürstenzug Porcelain Wall and Zwinger Palace are among the places to see in the romantic city Dresden. We go to Neustadt, the popular neighborhood of the city for dinner, and then return to our hotel.
2,5 hours drive, 200 km. 3 hours canoe ride, 3 hours easy city walk.
Day 3:
Stadt Wehlen, Bastei, Hockstein Hike
45 minutes drive. 4 hours medium difficulty hike, 12 km.
After leaving the hotel in the morning, we move to the Elbe Sandstone Valley. Here we will do With the Wahlen-Hockstein march, we live the paintings of Romantic Period painters live. Many world-famous painters, from Caspar David Friedrich to Canaletto, took walks here and sought inspiration. We learn both painters and paintings on the walking tracks, which will later be called “Painter Paths”; as well as enjoying the sandstone valley. Bastei Bridge is another one of our stopover points. After we arrive at the interesting rock formation Hockstein, we return to our hotel.
Day 4:
Krippen, Königstein Hike
4 hours medium difficulty hike, 12 km.
Our walk today will start from Krippen Village, where the sundial route is on the other side of the river. We see 12 sundials in Krippen, which has hosted many artists throughout history, and then we move along the Waldberg Forest behind the village and see many dairy farms. After taking a break in Papstdorf Village, we proceed from the Gohrisch Forest to Königstein. The castle, which has been home to many famous prisoners throughout history, is in a place that overlooks Elbe and Sakyonya Switzerland. After returning to our hotel after watching the magnificent view of the sandstone valley from here. Dinner and free time.
Day 5:
Edmund Valley Hike and Return
2 hours drive. 5 hours easy hike, 13 km.
Our route today takes place mostly in the Czech Republic. After walking across the border, we arrive at Hřensko and from there we enter the Edmund Valley. We follow the forest and river route with high visual taste in the valley, also known as the "Smuggler Route". Since we are unable to walk more and more in places, we continue with canoe on the Kamenice River. After our ending walk in Jetřichovice, we set off on the way back to the airport we set.
